Make structural changes

Depending on your timescale, you may find that you will actually rent your property more quickly and for much more money if you take a couple of months to make some minor structural changes before putting it on the market. Open floor living, kitchen, and dining spaces are in fashion at the moment, and maximise the size of the space. A new kitchen goes a long way to draw in potential tenants, and new bathrooms are a big plus, too.

Make the exterior shine

First impressions count. Make sure the outside of the property is smart, tidy, and welcoming. If there's a front garden, spend some time and money planting it out, which can make a big difference to the overall aspect of the building.

Keep it clean, clear, and neutral with accents

Dressing your property to make it more attractive can make a massive difference to your rental price, and the speed at which it gets snapped up. Although the basis of the colour pallet should be neutral, accent walls and brightly coloured cushions and accessories, as well as warm lighting and a clean, uncluttered space, will all give your property the best chance of going quickly.
